Plus: ‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’ and ‘Wild Horse Nine.’
After a week off for good behavior (?!), I have returned to ask: What new films are opening in Dallas/Fort Worth movie theaters today?
The Cat in the Hat
Available in 3D at some locations, if your children are in need of discipline for bad behavior.
Godzilla Minus Zero
Available in IMAX at some locations, if you have been good and need a treat. Be sure the film is shown in its original Japanese; the ability to read English subtitles is optional. Note that Cinemark 17 is the only location showing the film in true, full-sized IMAX.
Jimmy
Available in English, if you want to experience fictionalized moments from the legendary James Stewart’s life and career, in which the actor works very hard to capture his unique cadence.
Ramayana: Rise of a Legend
Available in its original Hindi, if you know how to read the English subtitles. Or even if you don’t. Note that it is listed simply as Ramayana at most locations. Also, watch the trailer first to see if you can tolerate the A.I. that is evident.
Wild Horse Nine
Available if you are in the mood for Easter Island antics with John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell.
