A teenage riff on ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ the new film ‘Beastly’ stars Alex Pettyfer (‘I Am Number Four’) and Vanessa Hudgens (the upcoming ‘Sucker Punch’), with Mary-Kate Olsen, Peter Krause, and Lisa Gay Hamilton.

I can’t work up any enthusiasm for it — I’m not in the target demographic — and many reviews have been negative.
