Set Your Calendars: It Came From Texas Film Festival, September 12th-14th

Written by:

Make room for another film festival all you Dallasites. The third annual It Came From Texas Film Festival will unspool at the Plaza Theater in downtown Garland Friday September 12th through Sunday the 14th. Curated by Festival Director Kelly Kitchens (and featuring some insight from film scholar Gordon K. Smith), the three-day event will feature the following Texas-filmed efforts- Bonnie and Clyde (1967), The Great Debators (2008), Bernie (2011), and The Alamo (1960).

Wrapped around these four films will be some other documentaries about the films, special guests (some family of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow) and introspective conversations to add insight about the films.

A full release about the event and films can be found here.
