The Fifth Element (1996) – Presented in 4K, I imagine this presentation will pop off the screen.
Screens on Saturday October 5th
Talk Radio (1988), Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and JFK (1991)- 3 Oliver Stone films with the filmmaker in person. Last I checked, this event was close to sold out all 3 nights.
Begins on Friday October 4th and runs through Sunday the 5th
Popcorn (1991) – Presented by Video Crypt, a bit of a cult favorite about a group of film students stalked in an abandoned movie theater. Part meta-horror and part slasher, this would make for a great double feature with the other great movie-theater kill spree. Lamberto Bava’s Demons (1995).
Screens on Tuesday October 8th
The Man Who Laughs (1928) – A nod to the release of Todd Philips second Joker, this 1928 silent film is regarded as the possible inspiration for that bad guy’s ‘permasmile’. Presented with a live score.
Screens on Friday October 11th
Amores Perros (2000) – Screens on Saturday October 12th
The Fall (2006) – I remember the insane expectations for Tarsem Singh after Roger Ebert praised to the heavens his film The Cell (2000). Released a few years later, I don’t recall much about this sophomore effort besides its impressive visuals and fairy tale aesthetic. Recently restored and played at Fantastic Fest this year, the film is getting a 4K re-release.
Screens on Tuesday October 15th
Sleepy Hollow (1999) – Screens on Wednesday October 16th
The Love Witch (2016) – Screens on Friay October 18th

Anatomy of Hell (2004) – screens on Saturday October 5th
Black Eyed Susan (2024) – Apparently a new release, but I have to give this some exposure. Filmmaker Scooter McCrae- whose video nasties of the 90’s I’ve just been introduced to- sees his first new release with this film in 25 years. Dealing with the edgy nature of man and AI technology in the form of a BDSM doll (!), this presentation will also feature a virtual Q&A with the director

The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) – Hitchcock’s classic. Screens on Wednesday October 9th
The Trouble With Harry (1955) – Another dose of Hitchcock. If a novice to this master’s work, these are two good places to start.
Screens on Wednesday October 16th
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) – Don Siegel’s original masterwork crams so much allegory into its science-fiction dosage that it’s been remade two other times. Despite my admiration for Kaufman and Abel Ferrara’s efforts, this one remains the best.
Screens on Monday October 21st
